Two companies have applied for coordination of the preservation and development plan for Riga's historic center.
As Riga City Council City Development Committee Chairman Andris Ameriks informed LETA, even though four companies received regulations for the tender, only two companies applied - "Birojs 2000 Ltd." and "American Construction Group Ltd.".
Ameriks pointed out that coordinators of the plan would be selected in one month.
The coordinator of the project must carry out administration of the project, legal coordination, control of finances, organizing a public discussion and other duties by October 30, 2003.
LVL 50,000 are envisaged for drawing up the plan for preservation of Riga's historic center this year.
