4,5 millions Euro that makes approximately 2.565.000 Lats will be invested in the building of the Jugla shopping center, informed Ewald Mensch, director of the SIA Kristensen Baltic, during the ceremony of the laying in the foundation-stone.

Total size of the piece of land, where two floor shopping center will be built, is 10.506 square meters; total cubage of the house will be 25.183 solid meters, but total size of the house will be 5.103 square meters, where total size of shopping places will be 4.100 square meters.
Main renter RIMI will occupy 1.800 square meters of the shopping center at the first floor. Narvesen shop, Gailītis G, Foto Express Kodak, dry-cleaner's IMA Serviss, shop of the sewing accessories Aksesuārs Plus, drug store, shop Drogas, underwear shop Hero, perfumery and cosmetics shop Esthetique, jewelry shop Jahonts, clothing and underwear shop LN Mode and others will occupy the rest of the space.
Parking place for 250 cars will be located next to the shop.
SIA Kristensen Baltic, that will invest approximately 30-40% of the necessary investments, ordered shopping center, but German bank Vereinsbank will cover the rest of expenses.
Sergejs Ņikiforovs from architectural bureau Nams created the project of the shopping center, but main contractor is Estonian company FKSM.
It's planned, that shopping center will be finished at the February of 2002.
This is second project of the SIA Kristensen Baltic in Riga. It's planned to open the first project - Barona centrs - at the Kr.Barona Street 46 at the November 1, 2001.
Waterproof metal capsule was putted in together with the corner-stone of the shopping center today, where Mensch, together with Knut Kvisvik, general director of the Rimi Latvija, putted latest press, plans of the shopping center, pictures and also set of the Latvia's silver coins.
