About the results of the 16th International Building Industry Trade Fair
From 20 to 24 March 2002, HOUSE I 2002, the 16th International Building Industry Trade Fair was held at the International Exhibition Centre in Ķīpsala.
From 20 to 24 March 2002, HOUSE I 2002, the 16th International Building Industry Trade Fair was held at the International Exhibition Centre in Ķīpsala. The event gathered 504 participants from 15 countries such as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Finland, Norway, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Italy and Japan. The fair amassed 45,923 visitors.
For the first time this year, BT 1 in collaboration with the Latvian Building Contractors Association organised the 1st International Building Conference. Reinis Kazāks, the Project Development Manager, admits that the interest of the building industry specialists about the conference attests its necessity and it will also be held in the frame of the trade fair HOUSE I 2003. The participants of the conference showed a great interest in reports delivered by Hans Sandstrom, the project manager and architect Ann Lepp of the Swedish National Heritage Department, as well as in seminars conducted by Joachim Hoffman of the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Craftsmanship (Germany).
Also for the first time, the organisers have made available a contact bureau for professionals ? East-West in the Baltics -- the database of building enterprises. "According to the participants? responses this novelty deserves the highest evaluation. More than 10% of professional attendees have entered information about their enterprises in it", Reinis Kazāks reveals adding that the contact bureau will be held next year too.
The Visitors Poll The Best Exposition enhanced the winners to receive reduction for participation in HOUSE I 2003.
The winner - Lode receives a 15% reduction for exhibit space at HOUSE I 2003
2nd place - Jaunbērzi receives a 10% reduction for exhibit space at HOUSE I 2003
3rd place - Biznesa savienība receives a 5% reduction for exhibit space at HOUSE I 2003.
The next - 17th International Building Industry Trade Fair HOUSE I 2003 will take place from 19 to 23 March 2003.
