Bridge over Mīlgrāvis will be opened
Opening of the renewed bridge over Mīlgrāvis will be held early this morning - at 6am - where will participate several officials from Riga municipality, including Sergejs Dolgopolovs, municipality^apostrofs;s vice-chairman and Māris Tralmaks, executive director of the city, Department of communications of the Riga municipality informed agency LETA.

Renovation of the bridge is finished before the agreed term. It was written in the agreement, that renovation should be finished by September 1st. Latvijas tilti had possibility to intensify operations and to finish reconstruction earlier, because of the request of the Department of communications.
According to the information that was given by Department of communications, bridge over the Mīlgrāvis was build at 1964, its length is 200 meters, width - 13 meters. It was found out that overhaul is needed at 1991. Situation got especially crucial at 2000, because constructions of the sidewalks needed emergency repair and movement of pedestrians was forbidden.
Guntis Pilsums, chairman of the Municipality's Department of communications and traffic and Ivars Zarumba, chairman of the Department of communications will participate at the bridge's opening.
Journalists will be able to go to the even by bus that will leave at 5.30am from the Riga municipality.
