At the 2 quarter of this year, comparing with 1st quarter building costs in Latvia dropped by 1,7% in average, agency LETA was informed at the Central board of Statistics.

Board of statistics explains, that decrease of the costs were in the all kinds of the building operations. Expenses dropped the most in the reconstruction of the education and health care objects - by 3,9% and installation of underground cross-country pipelines - by 3,1%.
Building costs dropped in the reconstruction and building of agricultural and market objects by 1,7%, building of transportation objects - by 1,6%, overhaul of administrative houses - by 1% and building of the individual living houses by 0,4%.
The drop of price on building materials by 1,9% and drop on the wages of builders by 1,8% determined drop of the building costs. During this period of time a little - by 0,2% - increased costs on building machines and machineryģs maintenance and operation.
At the 2 quarter of this year, comparing with the same period at the last year, building costs dropped by 5,3% in average. Decrease of the costs was in the all kinds of the building operations. It was determined by decrease of the prices on building materials. Expenses dropped the most installation of underground cross-country pipelines - by 12% and reconstruction and building of objects in industry, agriculture and market - by 7,1%.
