Foreign investments, co-financing from structural funds and state support for businessmen will be necessary for a rapid economic development of Latvia in the future, Karins stressed.
The minister informed businessmen about the Economy Ministry's work on bettering business environment and accessibility of structural funds in regions, raising competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies.
Karins also said that curbing the "gray area" of the Latvian economy requires curbing taxes. It has been determined that the national budget's revenues increase after taxes are cut, he said.
