Concern Knauf is going to be represented only by Knauf Marketing Riga
Itģs planned, that starting by today concern Krauf is going to be represented in Latvia only by Knauf Marketing Riga Ltd. (KMR), that is going to deal with yield of raw materials and producing of Knauf production, investments and selling of the production.

As agency LETA was informed at the company, until now two companies - KMR and Sauriešu būvmateriāli stock company represented Knauf concern in Latvia. KMR was working with investments, producing and selling, but Sauriešu būvmateriāli - yield of raw materials and producing of the dry mixes.
This structure not only complicated securing of activities and created extra expenses, but also was in conflict with proper practice in this field and politics of Knauf entrepreneurship. Considering situation, KMR as the main stock holder of "Sauriešu būvmateriāli", gave in proposition about liquidation of company, that is going to be considered on the plenum of shareholders.
KMR will to take over obligations of Sauriešu būvmateriāli, keep work places, provide continuity of producing process and will go on with investmentģs process.
Since 1996, when KMR bought 49% of stocks in Sauriešu būvmateriāli form Agency of Privatization, it did serious investments in fixed capital, total in 2,4 millions lats, and credits, total in 2,5 millions lats, providing itģs maintenance, modernization and possibilities of development. Investments, total in 340 thousands lats are planned because of the yield of gypsum at the deposit in Saurieši and Salaspils.
