Croatian company "Industrogradnja" does not exclude disputing tender results on new Riga bridge
The Croatian company "Industrogradnja" does not exclude the possibility of disputing the results of a tender on constructing the Dienvidu (Southern) Bridge across the Daugava River in Riga, LETA was admitted by the "Industrogradnja" representative in Latvia, the director at "A.R.T. Kompanija", Gunars Avens.

Avens informed that the company would become acquainted with the results of the tender and then decide on disputing them. Representatives from "Industrogradnja" would also participate in the evaluation of the results.
Construction of the bridge would be entrusted to a contractual company, consisting of companies that have no experience in implementing such projects, Avens added.
"A.R.T. Kompanija" is a general sub-contractor which co-joins 15 Latvian enterprises for implementation of the project. The Croatian company would draw up the technical design project for the bridge and supervise the course of construction, but construction job would be carried out by the Latvian companies, Avens explained.
According to Avens, "Industrogradnja" is one of the leading bridge construction companies in Europe and it has significant experience in project implementation in Europe, and also Iraq.
The company "Dienvidu tilts", which won the tender on designing and constructing the bridge, is set to implement the project for LVL 85,119,393.
"Industrogradnja's" branch offered a bid was LVL 89,842,388.
"Dienvidu tilts" unites six Latvian companies - joint-stocks "BMGS" and "Latvijas tilti", "Rigas tilti Ltd.", "Skonto buve Ltd.", "Tilts Ltd." and "Viadukts Ltd.". The group was set up in July of 2002.
