First Obi shop in Latvia will be opened this fall

As Jānis Vītols, manager of the Obi shop told agency LETA, it would be specialized shop of the building materials, where all necessary goods for garden, including garden and room flowers also will be sold.
Total size of the shop will be approximately 10.000 square meters, but commercial size will be approximately 8.000 square meters.
Vītols informed, that from 3 to 4 millions lats are invested in the building of the shop, that might be paid back into 4 years. Company OBB, that owns the shop, took credit with the term of 8 years. Building company Skonto būve does building operations.
Company OBB plans to open another Obi shop, that will be located in Berģi at the next year. It is planned to expand companyģs business not only in Riga, but itģs not decided yet, is building materialģs shop will be built in Liepāja, Daugavpils or Valmiera.
Vītols informed, that German Company Obi owns similar shops in Germany, Austria, Poland, Italy, Switzerland and other countries, and there are about 340 shops of this kind in Germany.
