Foundation-stone for "Hansabanka's" office building to be laid on Friday

A foundation-stone will be laid for the new office building of the joint-stock "Hansabanka" during an official ceremony at 12.30 p.m. on Friday, LETA was informed by the bank.

A foundation-stone will be laid for the new office building of the joint-stock "Hansabanka" during an official ceremony at 12.30 p.m. on Friday, LETA was informed by the bank.

The new office for the bank's administration will be located in Riga's Kipsala area at 1a Balasta Dambis.

The bank hopes that with the new building will be a major contribution to the bank's growth and development in the future. Presently, the bank's management has been situated in eight buildings, and communications have therefore been hampered.

Total costs for the project are calculated at about LVL 20 million, and it will be carried by "Kipsalas saules akmens Ltd.", which has become a part of the construction company "Merks Ltd." as of November of 2002.
