The ministry has prepared proposals for privatization of state-owned shares in the following companies: the airline "airBaltic", fixed telecommunications operator "Lattelekom", mobile telecommunications operator "Latvijas Mobilais telefons" and Riga heating company "Rigas siltums".
The ruling coalition council will decide on including the question on the Cabinet's agenda for the meeting tomorrow, said Karins.
The state holds a 52.6 percent stake in "airBaltic", 51 percent in "Lattelekom", 49 percent in "Rigas siltums", and five percent in "Latvijas Mobilais telefons".
According to the government's declaration, "Latvia Post", power utility "Latvenergo", joint-stock railroad company "Latvijas dzelzcels", Riga International Airport and "Latvijas valsts mezi" (Latvia's State Forests) will not be privatized.
Earlier the government decided to sell the state-owned 38.6 percent stake in "Ventspils nafta" (Ventspils Oil).
