"Grigis un Co Ltd." expresses readiness to build a hotel in Liepaja, if the government allots co-financing needed for construction of the second ice arena for the 2006 Ice Hockey Championship.
As LETA was told by the businessman Andris Grigis, the hotel would be constructed only in case the world championship is held in Liepaja.
The location of the hotel is not yet decided. Investments between two and three million lats are planned in the hotel, meant for 300 clients.
The advisor for public relations to the chairman of the Liepaja City Council, Lelde Viksna, informed LETA that Grigis for the time being is the only businessman who has expressed readiness to construct a new hotel.
