Lipmans stresses that the search for a constructor of the arena is still continuing and Latvia has not given up its plans to hold the ice hockey world championship in Riga in 2006.
Lipmans has conducted negotiations with several companies from the U.S. and Germany, however, only three already-known candidates have confirmed their readiness to carry out the project.
Evaluating the candidates, Lipmans points out that "Multihalle" is not an investor, and loans would be have to be taken out, for which state guarantees are necessary.
Whereas more clarity about the offer from "Metalbuvju sistemas" would come after May 27 since Lipmans has arranged a meeting with representatives from the company on this date. He wants to know whether the company has sufficient funding at its disposal for implementation of the project.
