A new four-star hotel will open today in central Riga's Berga Bazaar, LETA was informed by the hotel director Iveta Sprudza.
"Hotel Bergs" is one of the newest luxury class hotel in Riga.
The hotel has 38 rooms, each between 45 and 80 square meters in area, two conference halls - one 140 square meters, the other 40 square meters, a library, restaurant, bar, sports center, sauna and three stores.
Two historic buildings were revamped to produce the new hotel.
Justs Karlsons, the descendant of the former owners of the Berga Bazaar, had the idea of creating a hotel in 1998.
The design project was prepared by architect Zaiga Gaile' office.
About LVL 6 million have been invested in the hotel.
