Hotel "Riga" to be sold

The issue of the right of first refusal to the purchase of the prominent Hotel "Riga" at 22 Aspazijas Boulevard was reviewed today by the Riga City Council Finance Committee. The owner intends to sell it for over LVL 10 million.

The issue of the right of first refusal to the purchase of the prominent Hotel "Riga" at 22 Aspazijas Boulevard was reviewed today by the Riga City Council Finance Committee. The owner intends to sell it for over LVL 10 million.

The building was privatized by the joint-stock company "Hotel Investments" which is linked to businessman Guntis Indriksons.

According to information at the disposal of the Riga City Council, the cost of the hotel is LVL 10,507,200. The inventory value of the real estate is LVL 896,000.

The committee decided that the Riga City Council would not make use of the right of first refusal, and no draft decree would therefore be drawn up on the purchase of real estate at 22 Aspazijas Boulevard.
