SIA Ostas celtnieks started operations for illumination the mole this week. Total cost of those operations reached 30.000 lats. During the realization of the illumination project, builders had to solve several problems, which are connected with placing of cables and illuminators on mobile ground, where mole is located.
Cables will put in special pipes on the concrete blocks, that will increase the cost of the illumination a little, comparing with the realization of the similar project on ground, explained Kausenieks.
SIA "Ostas celtnieks will build two-level place for sightseeing, which construction will be build on special system of traces. Kausenieks said, that, specialists from the St.Petersburg's Institute of hydro technical buildings consulted them.
Landscape of the South mole will increase safety of the visitors; mole will be illuminated, confined with railings and equipped with life-saving requisites. It will allow to visit mole even during the strong wind and storm.
Sketch competition Meklējam talantus about reconstruction of the former radiolocation tower is announced until August 27. Architects on the age till 35 are welcomed to participate there, because we hope to get new and fresh ideas, Kausenieks emphasized.
Former Soviet Army used this tower, that's 10 meters high, now it's planned to transform it into sightseeing tower, where Ventspils city will we well seen, especially it's Old part - Ostagals. It's planned to realize this project at the fall.
Kausenieks indicated that most original object for tourists - South mole - will be completely landscaped till the beginning of the next tourists' season.
