Ozolnieks informed that he had visited the sanatorium a couple of days ago, and met with the owners of the building and restoration foremen. The LPA head admitted that restoration work is "is not proceeding as desired".
LPA Control Department Director Arvis Freibergs told LETA that "Ominasis Latvia", the owner of the sanatorium, is planning after reconstruction to turn it over to the well-known European hotel operator "Kempinski". "Kempinski" would be authorized to maintain operations of the sanatorium and provide services, but the sanatorium would still remain the property of "Ominansis Latvia".
"Ominansis Latvia" representatives informed LPA about its plans to construct such complexes around the Baltic Sea - in Poland, Germany, Latvia.
