"Latvijas koks" export up 13% this year

Turnover at the association totaled LVL 106 million this year which is 16.9 percent up from nine months in 2002 when turnover stood at LVL 90.7 million.
The largest association's company joint-stock "Latvijas finieris" net turnover in nine months was LVL 61.5 million, which is 18.7 percent up from nine months in 2002. The company exported production for LVL 47.5 million which is 14 percent up from last year.
The most dramatic hike in turnover this year was at "Balt Lia Ltd." - LVL 449,000 in nine months, three times exceeding turnover of three quarters of 2002 (LVL 126,000).
The highest increase in export volumes in three quarters of this year was at the joint-stock "Bolderaja" - production for LVL 5.9 million was exported which is 75 percent up from the respective period last year.
An essential drop in turnover was seen at "Magnats Ltd.". In nine months, turnover stood at LVL 1.1 million which is 64 percent down from the respective period in 2002 when turnover reached LVL 3.2 million.
