"Lietuvos Dujos" Reports Smaller Profit In First Quarter
Lithuanian gas supplier "Lietuvos Dujos" posted LTL 503.9 million (EUR 146.0 million) in non-audited consolidated sales for the first quarter of 2008, says LETA.
Lithuanian gas supplier "Lietuvos Dujos" posted LTL 503.9 million (EUR 146.0 million) in non-audited consolidated sales for the first quarter of 2008. In the first quarter of 2007 the company’s consolidated sales were LTL 328.4 million (EUR 95.1 million).
At the same time, the company’s pre-tax profit fell from LTL 87.5 million (EUR 25.3 million) in the first quarter of 2007 to LTL 63.7 million (EUR 18.4 million) in the first quarter of 2008, while net profit - from LTL 72.3 million (EUR 20.9 million) to LTL 53.7 million (EUR 15.5 million), respectively.
The main shareholders of "Lietuvos Dujos", the only gas importer to Lithuania, are German "E.ON Ruhrgas International AG" (38.91 percent), Russian "Gazprom" (37.06 percent) and Lithuanian State Property Fund (17.70 percent).
At the same time, the company’s pre-tax profit fell from LTL 87.5 million (EUR 25.3 million) in the first quarter of 2007 to LTL 63.7 million (EUR 18.4 million) in the first quarter of 2008, while net profit - from LTL 72.3 million (EUR 20.9 million) to LTL 53.7 million (EUR 15.5 million), respectively.
