The "Linstow Baltic" company is conducting no construction activities on the territory of the Jurmala dunes zone, the company's spokesman Rems Razums told LETA.
"Linstow Baltic" believes that information in the press reported by "Transparency International-Latvia" and "Coalition Clean Baltic" on February 12, which looked into illegal construction activities in Jurmala's dunes zone and also mentioned "Linstow Baltic" among the owners of the illegal construction sites, is unsubstantiated, Razums said.
The company owns plots of land at 151 and 153 Meza Boulevard in Jurmala, and at 160, 162 and 164 at Bulduri Boulevard, but no construction is being conducted there, and the company does not plan to build anything there in the near future, Razums informed. "Linstow Baltic" has inquired about options for utilization of the land, but it will comply with state and municipal regulations, Razums pointed out.
The report came from "Transparency International-Latvia" and "Coalition Clean Baltic" following their inspection of Jurmala dunes on February 4. Inspected were five properties, whose owners might have violated regulations on construction.
The two non-governmental organizations said that, according to the Jurmala territorial plan, construction is to be launched on four "Linstow Baltic" land plots, covering a total area of 1.3 hectares.
