Lipmans obtained 29% capital shares in "Multihalle Ltd."
Make-up of "Multihalle Ltd." owners has changed, the Latvian Hockey Federation (LHF) President Kirovs Lipmans has obtained 29 percent of capital shares in the company, LETA was told by "Multihalle" executive director Ivars Kalviskis yesterday.

Lipmans has become the "Multihalle's" capital shareholder through purchasing the shares owned by Zane Maca.
In Kalviskis' view, the deal with Lipmans has not resulted in a conflict of interest because the multifunctional ice hockey arena in Riga is not meant only for holding the world ice hockey championship in Latvia in 2006 but mainly for organizing concerts of rock bands and other entertainment activities within a period often years.
According to "Lursoft" data base, the owners of the remaining shares in "Multihalle" are Guntis Indriksons - 20 percent, Ivars Kalviskis - 20 percent, Ojars Kehris - 31 percent.
As reported, "Multihalle Ltd." is going to submit proposals to the Riga City Council on possible participation of the local government in construction of the multifunctional ice hockey arena in Riga, in order to guarantee holding the 2006 world ice hockey championship in Latvia.
As LETA was told by Kalviskis, he had already talked with certain council's officials on would-be participation of the council in the project. To continue talks, an offer is needed, and "Multihalle" is drawing up such an offer at this time.
Kalviskis admitted that at the initial stage of the project, as well as one year ago still, the Riga City Council was not mentioned as a participant of the project. Initially it was planned to attract investors who promised to invest several hundreds of millions lats in the project. However, "Metala buvju sistemas Ltd." failed to fulfill obligations concerning attraction of investors.
