If the council authorities will manage to solve several issues concerning attraction of additional funding, the before mentioned sum might double by the end of the year.

The local road construction company "Daugavpils ceļinieks" has failed to participate in many of the above-mentioned price-studies due to falling behind the implementation schedule of several objects.
Mr. Providenko is of opinion that this company lacks equipment necessary for economic and qualitative road repairs. The road repair expenses are significantly increased due to the old milled asphalt, which is still present in the city.
The specialists have calculated that a ton of asphalt in the region of Daugavpils should cost 11-16 Ls, which is artificially increased to Ls 34 per ton during an active season.
