Lursoft discovers "dead official" using the data basis of registers
With the intention to increase a data quality in Enterprise Register and to decrease enterprise risks, Lursoft, company of the information technologies, have developed data control system that automatically checks data about officials that are registered in Enterprise Register with the Inhabitant Register. 24.700 unrelieved officials in operating companies were checked during the first week. 339 of them (or 1,6%) are registered as dead in the Inhabitant Register. Individuals, that according to the Inhabitant Register^apostrofs;s data are dead, are still declared as officials at 444 operating companies and social organizations.

We have to add, that some of the decedent's companies still show some economical activities:
- 56 companies and social organizations, where one of officials is dead, have submitted annual report of 2000 in Enterprise Register.
- dead person is mentioned as director of the company at the annual report in two cases, besides annual report is submitted one month later with the name of the decedent on it.
- CSP still analyzes their type of function according to the NACE classification for 139 companies.
Lursoft believes, that this system could work in non-stop schedule, because in this case quality of data could considerably increase in involved registers and businessmen could be warned timely about potential risk that should be considered in cooperation with such company.
If investigation of Lursoft will create interest between businessmen and state officials, holders of the capital shares and shareholders could be checked in the same way regularly once a month. If inheritor of stocks or capital shares don't submit in the time limits, that are set by law, their monitoring should be done by state (Ministry of Finance); at the same time Enterprise Register could timely require additional information or closing of such companies, if such information about real operation of the companies couldn't be submitted in a year. If there are going to be a lot of such cases, appropriate state institutions could decide about specific order how to readjust documentation of those companies and how to determine - can this information about specific cases be public.
Cooperation agreement between Lursoft, Enterprise Register, PMLP and VID plans regularly (once in a day) to renew this data. Enterprise Register, according the cooperation agreement with PMLP, does regular examination of individual data regarding newly submitted documentation in on-line mode beginning with this year. Because of this system it is impossible to register new companies using the dead person documents.
