New "Citymarket" store to open next week
On March 28, the Finnish company "Kesko Food" will open a new "Citymarket" at 68b Krasta Street in Riga.
On March 28, the Finnish company "Kesko Food" will open a new "Citymarket" at 68b Krasta Street in Riga.
As LETA was told by Jana Ezerina from the company's public relations department, the opening ceremonies are planned as an Easter fair with particular attention paid to family entertainment.
The official opening is planned for midday on March 28 with various activities including the clown, Vigo, music, games, magic tricks and food tasting.
Opening party will continue throughout the weekend including the Easter celebration.
Working hours at the new "Citymarket" will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"Kesko Food" has invested LVL 4 million in the project. Floor space will be 5,500 square meters.
The first "Citymarket" supermarket is located in the shopping mall "Spice" on Lielirbes Street. A total 230 people will be employed with the opening of the new store. A third "Citymarket" is planned for Pulkveza Brieza Street.
