Oil product volumes transported through main pipeline up 21.9% last year
Last year, 5.5 million tons of oil products were transported by main oil product pipeline, which is 21.9% up from 2003, according to the Central Statistical Bureau.

In 2004, overall 13.9 million tons of oil were transported by the main pipeline, which is 13.6% down from 2003.
Oil is still transported only to the Lithuanian "Mazeikiu Nafta" oil plant.
"LatRosTrans Ltd.", the subsidiary of the joint stock "Ventspils nafta", provides oil supply for "Mazeikiu Nafta". The "LatRosTrans'" length of main pipelines exceeds 700 kilometers. Supplies have been provided also for terminals operating within the Ventspils port territory.
