Picket to be held in protest against construction of new ice hockey arena in Riga
Environmental Protection Club^apostrofs;s Non-Violent Protest Center in Riga will stage a picket at Riga^apostrofs;s Congress Center tomorrow, March 21, to protest against planned construction of an ice hockey arena at the area enclosed by Skanstes Street, Sporta Street and Vesetas Street.
Environmental Protection Club's Non-Violent Protest Center in Riga will stage a picket at Riga's Congress Center tomorrow, March 21, to protest against planned construction of an ice hockey arena at the area enclosed by Skanstes Street, Sporta Street and Vesetas Street.
The Environmental Protection Club told LETA that the picket would begin at 9:30 a.m. During the picket, it will be explained why the Non-Violent Protest Center in Riga is against construction of the arena at the above location.
Riga City Council's executive director Maris Tralmaks reminded organizers of the picket to observe the law and informed Municipal Police about the planned picket.
