According to Lepesko, the "Skonto" complex's concert hall is being reconstructed to improve acoustics and other technical factors. The main entrance is also being reconstructed.
Another important matter is the contestants' dressing and make-up rooms.
The new multi-functional building will house the press center, which will launch work on May 18 and operate through May 25.
According to Lepesko, the new building is now being covered with a roof, and it will include catering premises and host the "after party".
Strict security measures will be introduced already as of May 5, when TV crews will start working at "Skonto". Only accredited persons will be authorized to enter the complex, but they will also be subject to strict regulations set by the police.
As of May 5, a double fence will be set up around the "Skonto" complex and 24-hour monitors launched. The concert's audience should get acquainted with security regulations, printed on tickets, on time, because visitors will be thoroughly searched, Lepesko reminded.
Security in all of Riga will be stepped up between May 19 and May 25, the week the "Eurovision" song contest is to take place in Riga.
As reported, the "Eurovision" grand finale will be held at "Skonto" Olympic Complex in Riga on May 24.
