The Riga City Council has launched privatization procedures at 3,112 apartment buildings (59 percent of the the total number of buildings). The Riga Housing Privatization Commission has registered 4,136 apartment buildings (78.93 percent) in the name of the municipality with the Land Register.
The Riga City Council has not adopted a decision on privatization of 1,024 apartment buildings prepared for privatization as of yet.
