Production of "Adazu cipsi" potato chips will temporarily continue at the Finnish "Chips Apb" and Swedish "OLW", the parent companies of "Latfood", "Latfood" chairman of the board Atis Zarins told a press conference today.

According to Zarins, production of "Adazu cipsi" potato chips at the said two plants will be launched within two weeks, the chips could return to stores already after Easter.
"Latfood" also plans on supplying potato from Latvia to the plants in Finland and Sweden, so "Adazu cipsi" chips be made of local potatoes as usual.
As reported, it took firefighters 29 hours to extinguish the March 1 blaze at "Latfood" plant where the fire had spread over a 2,500 square meter area.
In 2003, "Latfood" operated with losses of LVL 280,196. In 2002, the company's profit totaled LVL 185,950. Whereas the company's net turnover in 2003 stood at LVL 10.05 million, which was by 40 percent up from 2002 when the company operated with turnover of LVL 7.18 million.
The company's turnover was planned at LVL 11.3 million in 2004.
