R+T Russia – a sucessful debut on the Russian market
The world leading international trade fair for roller shutters, gates and sun protection systems R+T was launched for the first time in Russia from 26 to 28 September 2012 in Crocus Expo. Sun protection systems were the largest segment in the opening show in Russia.
56 exhibitors from 14 countries including Russia, Germany, Italy, Greece, Austria, the Czech Republic, Taiwan, Belorussia, the USA, Turkey, Poland, Spain, Korea and China presented their latest technologies and innovations on almost 1.300 sqms exhibition space. 3.427 professional trade visitors showed great interest and proofed the inaugural R+T Russia as a full success.
In addition to the "traditional R+T nomenclature" of roller shutters, gates and sun protection systems, R+T Russia presented windows, and glass. The exhibition has met interests of different groups of specialists. Designers discovered new materials and learned about the possibilities of the use of original western technologies, while distributors found potential clients and engineers discussed difficult technical enquires with international colleagues.
Antoni Hernandez Moya, Sales manager of RUTPERFIL, S.L.:
"The exhibition was a success. The majority of the visitors turned out to be our potential clients. We've had a great experience, we’ve presented unique products which have no competitors in Russia. We think, R+T should attract more foreign guests to become the key platform for Russian and foreign specialists’ communications".
"This year R+T in Germany attracted a great number of visitors, now we are focusing on the East and launching R+T in Russia. We are sure to repeat the success of the first R+T offshoot in China. I hope you will enjoy the exhibition", said Roland Bleinroth, Managing director of Messe Stuttgart at the opening of R+T Russia.
From 26 to 27 September the business program "ExpeR+T Area" was held within R+T Russia. The internet portal Tybet.ru became the General partner of the ExpeR+T Area. The leading windows companies Pilkington, SCHÜCO and ROTO FRANK took part in the first day of the ExpeR+T Area. They shared their market view, interesting business cases and future plans with foreign specialists.
Vladimir Yasin, the head of large projects in SCHÜCO spoke about opportunities of modern facade systems and their use abroad. Today according to a forecast for 2020, the maximum potential for saving CO2 and buildings energy amounts to 19%. The key role here belongs to modern facade systems that are able to save and regenerate energy as well as produce electric energy.
Alena Gromovich, the Head of "Attic windows and fittings" department, ROTO FRANK presented a wide range of outdoor and interior accessories for attic windows that are able to control the atmosphere in the house and decrease energy loss through windows. In 2012 the share of outdoor accessories in the whole volume of sales made up 95%, while the share of interior accessories made up 5%.
German experts also made reports in the ExpeR+T Area on the 27th of September: Mr. Friedrich Klopotek, Managing director of the National Federation of Door and Gate Manufacturers (BVT-Verband Tore), and Olaf Vögele, technical expert and editor of the Institute for Building Analytics. They spoke about the peculiarities of the European market and about ways of developing cooperations with Russian companies.
"We are sure that the exhibition will help Russian specialists to set up foreign contacts. So far the export is low. Now we are paying more attention to Russia and are ready to share our experience with Russian companies. We hope that they will help us to explore the Russian market and import new technologies", said Friedrich Klopotek.
Alexei Matveev, Managing director of the Messe Stuttgart representative office in Russia:
"The participation of different associations in R+T Russia shows foreign companies’ interest and the market potential. Today the Russian market falls behind the key leaders of sun protection and energy saving systems. This exhibition will help us to change the situation".
Alexandra Kurenkova, the Director of "Interregional Windows Institute":
"To create a competitive market we have to follow the European system of standards. We hope that the launch of R+T in Russia will stimulate this process. We’ve met Olaf Vögele, a German specialist in sun protection systems, and came to a preliminary agreement for a future cooperation. It is nice to see that the first R+T in Russia managed to gather so many industry professionals".
Organizers and participants are satisfied with the first R+T Russia and already make plans for the future. In 2013 the R+T Russia exhibition space will significantly increase. The organizers believe that the success of R+T Russia will contribute to the growth of the market for roller shutters, gates, windows and sun protection systems in Russia.
The next show will be held from 25 to 27 September 2013 in Crocus Expo.
