"Rebir" turnover increased LVL 3 million last year
Rezekne Special Economic Zone^apostrofs;s (SEZ) joint-stock electric construction tools maker "Rebir" posted LVL 14.8 million in net turnover in 2003, up from LVL 11.75 million in 2002, LETA was informed by Juris Lacaunieks, chairman of "Rebir" council.

This year the company plans on LVL 16 million turnover.
Last year, "Rebir" incomes amounted to LVL 11.7 million, up from LVL 9.7 million in 2002. The company's sales this year are projected at LVL 12.1 million.
About LVL 700,000 were invested into the company's development last year, and about as much will be invested this year.
According to Lacaunieks, the company is in need of new engineers - new engineers were last time hired ten years ago.
The company currently has 1480 employees.
"Rebir's" products have been certified in accordance with the European Union requirements. The company continues work on designing and launching manufacture of new construction tools.
The company's products are sold in C.I.S. and EU countries. "Rebir" plans on expanding cooperation with with the EU and C.I.S. this year. C.I.S. countries still remain "Rebir's" main sales market.
"Rebir" became a Rezekne Special Economic Zone company on August 1, 1998.
