Reconstruction of Riga Airport receives architectural design prize
The top prize for outstanding achievement in architecture in 2001 was taken home by the firms "Arhis" and "Kronbergs, Karklins un partneri" for the second stage of the reconstruction of the Riga International Airport.

"Arhis" previously won the award for the best design project in 2000 - the "Arthur Andersen" building in Old Town Riga.
The Bank of Latvia's new branch in Riga's Pardaugava was named the best new building in 2001, its architects: "Kronbergs, Karklins un partneri".
The awards are presented annually by the Latvian Architects' Union, and the winners were announced at a press conference on Friday evening.
