Reconstruction of airport terminal continues
Riga International Airport has announced open tenders for implementation of the second stage of reconstruction for the second and third floor of terminal, construction of the main road on the territory, reconstruction of transport routes.
Riga International Airport has announced open tenders for implementation of the second stage of reconstruction for the second and third floor of terminal, construction of the main road on the territory, reconstruction of transport routes.
The winners of the first tender are to reconstruct the second floor of passenger terminal in the area of 503.6 square meters, the third floor (719 square meters), the fourth floor (72.7 square meters), the roof (1,295 square meters), and the transformer station and ventilation system.
The winner of the second tender will have to construct the main road at the airport (1,150 meters) and reconstruct transport road of 650 meters.
Reconstruction of the terminal must be concluded until July 1, 2003 but construction of roads - October 1, 2003.
Applicants for the tender must have annual net turnover not below LVL 3 million in past two year, besides they must have experience in similar projects.
The deadline for bids is set for March 1, 2003.
It is planned that annual passenger turnover at the airport could be 1.3 million passengers and directs flights to Riga from more than 20 cities instead of 16.
