Relatives of Russian pop star Alsou bought "Valdemara centrs" - newspaper
The new owners of the "Valdemara centrs Ltd." office building are family members of the Russian pop star Alsou, newspaper "Telegraf" reports today.
The new owners of the "Valdemara centrs Ltd." office building are family members of the Russian pop star Alsou, newspaper "Telegraf" reports today.
As reported, "Valdemara centrs" was purchased by the Netherlands-registered company "Marr Estates B.V."; Marat and Rishat Safin became the new "Valdemara centrs" council members, and Rustem Gareyev - a member of the board.
According to "Telegraf", Marat Safin is the Russian pop star's brother, and Rishat Safin, former director general at "Lukoil Centrneftprodukt", is her uncle. Rishat's brother and the singer's father, Ralif Safin, was a vice-president at the oil company "Lukoil" for several years. Whereas Gareyev is the Safins' trustee.
The Netherlands-registered "Marr Estates B.V." belongs to the Safins, "Telegraf" reports.
Both the Safins and Gareyev are also shareholders in the joint-stock company "Saliena Real", which plans on building a village of private homes in Babite County.
As reported, the Swedish construction and real estate development center "Skanska" announced at the beginning of the year that it would fully withdraw from the Latvian market, and also sell all its real estate properties here.
USD 19.5 million were invested into "Valdemara centrs". Nevertheless, real estate experts estimate that its value currently is USD 8-15 million, newspaper "Dienas Bizness" reported earlier.
According to "Lursoft" database, "Valdemara centrs" posted LVL 1,033,321 in profit last year. The company's annual balance sheet said its long-term investments stood at LVL 11,429,270 at the end of 2002, debts were LVL 7,902,678, including debts to related enterprises at LVL 7,266,469.
