Riga and Tartu sign declaration on cooperation
Representatives of the Riga and Tartu city councils signed a declaration on cooperation today, the declaration envisages both cities^apostrofs; cooperation in economy, trade, education, culture and tourism, Riga City Council^apostrofs;s Information and Public Relations Department told LETA.
Representatives of the Riga and Tartu city councils signed a declaration on cooperation today, the declaration envisages both cities' cooperation in economy, trade, education, culture and tourism, Riga City Council's Information and Public Relations Department told LETA.
The declaration's goal is to exchange experience and information in various fields between Riga and Tartu, prepare and successfully pursue cooperation projects, involve residents into the city administrations' work.
Current Riga Mayor Gundars Bojars (Latvian Social Democratic Workers Party, LSDSP) and Riga City Council's executive director Maris Tralmaks (LSDSP) signed the declaration on behalf of Riga, and Tartu City Council chairman Aadu Must and chairwoman of Tartu board Laine Janes - on behalf of Tartu.
