Saeima rejects PCTVL's demand that information on new hockey arena be made public
The Saeima plenary rejected a proposal by deputies of Saeima faction of For Human Rights In A United Latvia (PCTVL) that Prime Minister Andris Berzins, chairman of the organizing committee for the ice hockey world championship in Riga in 2006, makes public the letter of intent on conditions for financing construction of the planned multi-functional arena and recreation center, which the premier allegedly signed with the Swiss company "IMS Studio 6".

As reported, the premier has several times emphasized that he has signed no legally binding documents on construction of the ice hockey arena and no one else was to do so. Minister of Finance Gundars Berzins, who protested the selection of "IMS Studio 6" for construction of the arena, has also confirmed this.
