"Olympia" Director Mareks Nemme informed that about 100,000 customers could visit the center weekly. "Olympia" could become the most popular shopping venue in the Pardaugava area, appealing to customers with its wide variety of goods and recreational opportunities, Nemme forecast.
The owner of the center is the Dutch and Swedish joint venture "ICA/Ahold", set up by "Royal Ahold" grupa and "ICA" group. The project was implemented by "ICA/Ahold's" subsidiary - "Hakon Invest Latvia".
EUR 33 million (about LVL 21.05 million) were invested in "Olympia". Construction work was carried out by contractor company "SBRE", merging "Skonto Buve" and "Re&Re".
More detailed information about the center will be available at a press conference, which will be held in "Olympia" at 5 Azenes Street, Riga at 11 a.m. April 29 with the participation of "Olympia" director Nemme, "ICA/Ahold" director for Baltic countries Anton van Vlerken, "Rimi Latvija" Director General Knut Kvisvik, "Rimi Latvija" commercial manager Aigars Abolins, "Olympia" marketing manager Neimane.
