As agency LETA was informed by councilor of stateģs controller Inga Baltiņa, they are on the stage of the gathering information and stateģs controller Raits Černajs havenģt decided on specific beginning date of an audit.
Černajs told, that audits are planned and already are taking place at Riga municipalityģs communal department and it will be held at the financial department at the fourth quarter.
As it was reported, total expenses of the reconstruction of the Riga canal are 6,5 millions lats; hydrotechnical operations cost about 3,4 millions lats. Canalģs hydrotechnical operations are done by Skonto būve.
Riga canal wasnģt cleaned since 1932 and cleaning, thatģs going on now, was started at July 29, 1999.
Cityģs canal is 3,2 kilometers long and there are 17 bridges.
