Numerous taxes have been imposed on the power sector in Scandinavian countries therefore wood-pulp and pressed sawdust have been utilized for producing power, Nielsen informed. This February, "Statoil" began purchase of sawdust in Latvia which have been transported to Scandinavia for processing. The company is now considering opening the new facilities in Latvia.
