"Stockmann Centrs" and "Re&Re" will sign new retail center purchase agreement
On Wednesday, October 10, two top Finnish executives will arrive in Riga - Jukka Hienonen, vice president at "Stockmann Oy" and Erkki Jarvinen, president at "Rautakirja", in order to sign an agreement with the Latvian construction company "Re^amp;Re^apostrofs;s" Director Didzis Putnins on the purchase of the building that is already under construction on 13 Janvara Street in Riga near the bus and train stations.
On Wednesday, October 10, two top Finnish executives will arrive in Riga - Jukka Hienonen, vice president at "Stockmann Oy" and Erkki Jarvinen, president at "Rautakirja", in order to sign an agreement with the Latvian construction company "Re&Re's" Director Didzis Putnins on the purchase of the building that is already under construction on 13 Janvara Street in Riga near the bus and train stations.
As LETA was informed by Putnins, the investors in the planned seven-story retail and recreation center have created a joint venture "Stockmann Centrs Ltd." to manage the center. The company will also take over rental rights for land property from the Riga City Council.
The project's costs are estimated at about LVL 24 million.
Up to now, "Rautakirja" was represented by its daughter company "Baltic Cinema", that will also manage the center's new multiplex cinemas.
The contract will be signed at "Hotel de Rome" at 6 p.m. on October 10, and a press conference is scheduled after that.
