Traffic restrictions to be introduced in Old Town on Livu Square and Kalku Street
The busy Livu Square and a section of Kalku Street in Riga^apostrofs;s Old Town will be closed to automobile traffic and partly closed for pedestrians between April 2 and May 16 during reconstruction, Janis Vahers, Press Secretary at the Riga City Council^apostrofs;s Traffic Department, told LETA.

According to Vahers, the section of Kalku Street between Skarnu Street and Valnu Street will be closed to cars and partly closed for pedestrians while the section is being resurfaced.
If the reconstruction is concluded faster than planned, the restrictions will be lifted immediately.
Riga City Council's Traffic Department hopes residents and visitors in Riga will be understanding and choose other routes during the above period.
