Two ISO certificates to Skanska Konstrukcija SIA
On Wednesday, December 18, 2002 construction company Skanska Konstrukcija SIA, representative of Skanska Group in Latvia, received certificates verifying that its integrated management system complies to the terms of international standards ISO 14001:1996 and ISO 9001:2000.
On Wednesday, December 18, 2002 construction company Skanska Konstrukcija SIA, representative of Skanska Group in Latvia, received certificates verifying that its integrated management system complies to the terms of international standards ISO 14001:1996 and ISO 9001:2000.
The certification was performed by Det Norske Verita Latvia in the person of Lead Auditor Agris Aizpurietis in cooperation with Det Norske Veritas Estonia.
In 1998 Skanska decided to introduce certified environmental management systems within the entire Skanska Group. Accordingly, Skanska Konstrukcija started to develop its integrated management system based on the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. In December 2000 Skanska became the first global company in the construction services that was environmentally certified, including Skanska Konstrukcija SIA as a part of Skanska Central Europe AB.
"The obtained certificates are a documentary evidence that our integrated management system is a working tool that helps us to deliver quality and satisfaction to our clients. It also proves that the company operates in an environmentally correct and sustainable manner, putting concern about the environment and society as a priority", says Michael Johansson, Skanska Konstrukcija General Manager.

In 2002, some of our projects are reconstruction of premises for Aizkraukles Banka, recently started design and construction of Saulkrasti Waste Water Treatmant Plant, installation of cooling and air condition systems in the sports and recreation center Bowlero, design of mechanical and electrical systems and consultancy services for Philip Morris factory in Klaipeda.
