Vidzeme Market to undergo reconstruction
The municipal joint-stock "Riga^apostrofs;s Central Market" has announced a tender on the reconstruction of the Riga^apostrofs;s Vidzeme Market and rights to lease.
The municipal joint-stock "Riga's Central Market" has announced a tender on the reconstruction of the Riga's Vidzeme Market and rights to lease.
As LETA informed by Andrejs Ruduss, real estate manager at "Riga's Central Market", the reconstruction of Vidzeme Market is to be reorganized in a joint complex.
"The market must be updated not only through construction of new buildings but also by modernizing old pavilions. It is planned that one investor will carry out the modernization," Ruduss said, pointing out that results of the tender will be known in November.
A project is necessary to work out for the reconstruction of the market first of all. In Ruduss' view, reconstruction of the market could be conducted immediately after announcing the results of the tender.
Ruduss believes that the winter would be the best season to carry out reconstruction since market activities are not that intensive, however, this would depend on the interests of the investor.
In order to take part in the tender, a participation fee of LVL 100 is to be paid. The tender's regulations are available at the "Riga's Central Market", at 1 Centraltirgus Street in Riga. Contenders may sign up for the tender until October 22.
