Riga municipalityģs Environment committee sustained project of Riga and Norcheping "Maintenance of industrial heritage", which goal is to explore historical industrial buildings in Riga, register them, plan and to ensure their use.
Riga municipalityģs Environment committee sustained project of Riga and Norcheping "Maintenance of industrial heritage", which goal is to explore historical industrial buildings in Riga, register them, plan and to ensure their use.
As department of information and PR informed agency LEAT, this project of Riga and Norcheping is part of the plan of the cooperation of both cities.
Deputies decided, that main factor, that allows to include a factory or enterprise in this list, is not only historical age, but also industrial technologies. Wherewith, renovating old buildings, next generations could have possibility to see how industrial production was done at the accordant historical stage.
As potential objects, that should be included in project, old Rīgas alus brewery, factory Kosmoss and several old fabrics producing factories were mentioned by Environment committee.
